Dharma Ocean of New York and New Jersey (DONYNJ)
This is the New York/New Jersey sangha of Dharma Ocean--a non-profit foundation headed by the noted practitioner and scholar, Dr. Reggie Ray. Dharma Ocean is dedicated to the practice, study and preservation of the teachings of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and the practice lineage he embodied.
This sangha gathers to practice bodywork and meditation as presented by Dr. Ray, who was one of Trungpa Rinpoche's first students in North America.
We meet twice a month, typically one week night and one weekend nyinthun (extended practice session) where we gather together and practice using some combination of audio recordings of Reggie Ray and instruction from one of the senior students. We also provide meditation instruction for those who request assistance. The sangha is supported by dana offerings made by those attending sessions.
