Dharma Ocean is also developing a sensitive landscape design around the retreat center, utilizing its rugged and unusual topography. Hidden among the ancient cedar and juniper trees will be ritual space, a teaching amphitheater and earth shrine, walking paths, and a number of unique gardens. |

In order to offer opportunities for intensive group practice, Dharma Ocean has established a retreat center in Crestone, Colorado. Located in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo mountains and overlooking the San Luis Valley, the center exists in two main parts: a Shrine Hall and Residence Hall.
Covering approximately 12,000 square feet, the Shrine Hall offers a large space for meditation, classroom and office space, covered patios, a professional kitchen and dining area, and ready access to some of Crestone's most striking terrain. The spacious shrine room is large enough to host over 150 practitioners. The Residence Hall, presently under construction, is located only a short walk from the shrine facility.
