Meditating with the Body®

In the Tibetan view, awakening is not something we see with our minds, but rather is an experience discovered in the body. For citizens of the modern world, this understanding of the spiritual journey has profound implications. It calls us out of the disconnection that often marks our lives, and challenges us to rediscover spirituality as a fully embodied process.

Body MeditatorsAt all levels of the Dharma Ocean path, practice is rooted in the realities of our bodies and the world. Techniques drawn largely from Tibetan Yoga — but also from Zen, Theravada Buddhism, Qigong, and a number of indigenous traditions — are used to access our hidden potentials, illuminate our inborn nature, and re-invigorate our movement toward wholeness.

SourcebookThe foundational vehicle for this approach is Dharma Ocean's powerful Meditating with the Body® curriculum. Through a five-month course of retreats and at-home study, this program offers us an invaluable opportunity to unlock our meditation practice, free our spiritual journey from obstacles, and indeed "touch enlightenment with the body."
