Interim Retreat Center Manager
The Retreat Center Manager is responsible for year-round operations of Blazing Mountain Retreat Center (BMRC) in Crestone, CO. This is a full-time, exempt role based in Crestone, Colorado with travel to Boulder, CO several times per year. Programming at BMRC consists of both Dharma Ocean lineage training and external rental programs contracted with other contemplative groups. The Retreat Center Manager oversees, supports and participates alongside the BMRC staff to ensure general operations, proper facility maintenance, and planning take place in a manner that is consistent with the mission and teachings of Dharma Ocean. This leader reports to the Executive Director, Dharma Ocean. This leader reports to the Executive Director, Dharma Ocean. Direct reports includes the BMRC Facilities and Kitchen Managers. Because the on-site BMRC Media Coordinator reports to the DO Media Manager, the Retreat Center Manager will also need to be aware of this relationship and the need to record Dharma Ocean events happening at BMRC. The work schedule for this role flexes in relation to the operational needs of the center.
Bookkeeper/Office Manager (part time)
Dharma Ocean is a non-profit educational organization providing somatic meditation training in the Tibetan Buddhist lineage of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, as taught by Dr. Reginald A. Ray and Caroline Pfohl. We offer meditation training and programs to a global community through residential retreats, online courses, and digital media.
We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper and Office Administrator to help maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments and support the general operation of the new Boulder office space. This position works closely with the full-time bookkeeper and the executive director to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable, manage invoices and tax payments and process payroll. Our ideal candidate holds a Finance or Accounting degree or equivalent experience and is familiar with the accounting software QuickBooks.
This is a regular part-time (20 hours per week) non-exempt position based out of Boulder, Colorado. The pay range is $17-$22 per hour. This position will report to the current full-time bookkeeper.
