SUMMARY:Awakening and Blossoming with Anam Thubten and Elizabeth Mattis-Namgyel
DESCRIPTION: \n\n\n \nDharma Ocean will again host Anam Thubten and Elizabeth Mattis-Namgyel for a week-long residential retreat at our Blazing Mountain Retreat Center this coming October 1 – 7. \nWhen the heart and mind awaken\, insight\, joy\, and compassion blossom within as expressions of our true inner potential. This is why the "Buddha" in Tibetan\, is Sangyee which literally means\, "awakening and blossoming." The great masters of the past said that there is a Buddha in each of us. \nDuring the retreat\, the two teachers will offer teachings on essential Buddhist practices such as meditation on loving kindness\, no self\, emptiness\, and devotion. With the support of fellowship\, this retreat provides a gentle but focused environment to go inside and unravel our internal blockages by using our own wisdom and courage so that we might come out with more spaciousness and less burden in our consciousness. \nThis is the third time Anam Thubten and Elizabeth Namgyel have taught together in Crestone. People find that the wildness and serenity of this land add a special dimension to their inward journey. \n\n\n \nLocation \nBlazing Mountain Retreat Center \nCrestone\, CO \n\n\n\n \n \nAbout the Teachers\n\nAnam Thubten grew up in Tibet and at an early age began to practice in the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.
