A student and practitioner of Integrated Manual Therapy\, a method of integrated mind-body healing\, she grew up traveling and living in Asia\, learning Mandarin and Cantonese\, and discovered her first meditation retreats as a teenager in Singapore. She has trained with Daoist\, Qigong\, and Chan masters throughout her life. \nFor the past 12 years\, Caroline has worked with Dr. Reggie Ray in developing new bodies of teaching and practice—furthering Dharma Ocean’s somatic work\, the body of bodhicitta teachings and practices\, the path of relationality\, consort practice\, and other forms. As Desung (Protector of Joy) for the community\, she has been named Reggie’s spiritual successor. \nCaroline also holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania\, a master’s degree in international relations from the London School of Economics\, and a bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College. She has led two private foundations and has provided strategic planning for multinational corporations and NGOs. In addition to Dharma Ocean\, Caroline oversees the Hemera Foundation. Dedicated to supporting contemplative views and practices and their integration into ordinary life\, Hemera focuses on dharma and secular education\, children\, and the arts. \n\nManuela Mischke-Reeds\, MA\, MFT \n \nManuela Mischke-Reeds is a licensed somatic psychotherapist\, international teacher and speaker\, Dharma Ocean meditation teacher\, and author. She’s also a certified Hakomi therapist. Manuela infuses her teaching of meditation with a deep understanding of somatic and psychological practices designed to support human transformation. \nA licensed marriage and family therapist\, Manuela holds a master’s degree in somatic psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies\, a bachelor’s degree in dance therapy from Naropa University\, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Hamburg. Manuela lectures\, consults\, and trains professionals\, leaders\, and students around the world in mindfulness\, attachment\, trauma\, and movement therapy.
