It ends with a second five-day residential retreat in November\, to integrate the previous five months of practice and teaching. \nBetween retreats\, practice deepens through an extensive at-home curriculum of readings\, recorded teachings\, and guided practices\, enriched by personalized guidance from a meditation instructor and a study group led by your meditation instructor. \n\n \n \n \n Curriculum Highlights\n \n \n \n \n \n\nIn-depth instruction in mindfulness-awareness meditation practice and  Tibetan Yoga practices of prana breathing\, earth breathing\, diagnostic breathing\, and many more breath awareness exercises\nEstablishing strong inner and outer sitting posture based on the principles of alignment\, relaxation\, and resilience\nUncovering the genesis and nature of the “self\,” including how and why it is created and maintained\nWorking directly with physical discomfort\, illness\, and disease\nExperiencing the body as the expression of our personal karmic history\nUnderstanding how karma is created\, stored\, and released in the body\nRelating to the body as the manifestation of enlightenment itself\nTeachings on the Four Noble Truths\, the Five Skandhas\, Spiritual Materialism\, Buddha Nature\, and more\n\nDuring each retreat\, you will strengthen your practice with: \n\nExtensive daily instruction from senior teachers in Dharma Ocean\nA daily question and answer period\nA private meeting with a personal meditation instructor\nA meeting with your meditation study group to share your experiences within a small group context\nA structured practice schedule to apply your learning and to further develop your practice\n\nIn between the retreats\, your practice will deepen with: \n\nA substantial at-home curriculum created by Reggie Ray exclusively for Meditating with the Body\, including recorded lectures\, readings\, and guided practices lead by Reggie to further your conceptual and experiential understanding of how the body is the gateway to enlightenment\nA monthly private phone call with your personal meditation instructor\nA monthly telephone meeting with your meditation study group\nRecordings of talks and guided practices from the two residential retreats\n\n\n\n \n \n \n\n \nRegistration Closed \n \nLocation \nBuckfast Abbey \nBuckfastleigh\, Devon \nTQ11 0EE \nUnited Kingdom \nCoordinator \ninfo@dharmaocean.org \n\n\n\n \n \nBuckfast Abbey\nThis retreat will be held within the grounds of the stunning Buckfast Abbey\, a site that has been a place of worship for almost 1\,000 years and is located just inside Dartmoor National Park amidst the rolling and green hills of South Devon.
