The Summer Meditation Intensive offers a challenging training in the practice of meditation. Similar in structure to our annual Winter Dathün, SMI retreatants will receive extensive instruction in traditional mindfulness-awareness practices (shamatha-vipashyana) grounded in the somatic approach developed by Dr. Reggie Ray. We will take a body-based approach to the traditional Tibetan Buddhist bodhicitta practices, an approach that offers a uniquely profound way toward opening our hearts.
