There is a love, bursting out of the ground of our being, that is fully human and at the same time an expression of the deepest reality of the universe. It is immanent as our own basic state and also limitless and all encompassing. It changes us fundamentally and can heal others and our world.
In this heart-centered program, we will explore ways of:
- Opening our hearts, simply and directly to everything that is
- Approaching our own obstacles and traumas with tenderness and insight
- Developing loving kindness for other people, from our loved ones to those with whom we have conflict
- Meeting difficult situations in the world with compassion and clarity
- Connecting with the elements of the natural world
We will also offer optional instruction for those who would like to become more familiar with the basic somatic practices of Dharma Ocean, including the 10 Points, Earth Descent, the Posture of Pure Awareness, Abdominal Breathing and other practices.
This program is suitable for all meditators, both beginning and experienced. For those engaging the Mahayana portion of the Dharma Ocean path, completion of this program will fulfill 100 of the 300 hours of the Bodhicitta practice requirement.
The Body Loves explores the tantric bodhicitta tradition by entering into the utter depth of our own Soma. Here, in a unique way, we can connect with this love, release it into our lives, and identify with it as the sole purpose of our life.
