This year we’re excited to offer an opportunity to take part in Dharma Ocean’s annual Winter Meditation Intensive online with Reggie Ray. This unique two-week online program will run in parallel with the last two weeks of The Journey of Just Being, and will feature recordings of select teachings and guided meditations from the residential retreat. Because of its online format, this program provides a unique opportunity to engage with retreat teachings and practices within the crucible of our daily lives. Participants will be invited to work with the guided practices and teachings offered each week and encouraged to participate in an online discussion forum led by Dharma Ocean meditation instructors.
This two-week online program includes:
- Video recordings of select talks given by Reggie
- Audio recordings of key guided meditation practices from the retreat
- Discussion forums facilitated by meditation instructors where you can connect with other practitioners from around the globe
- A daily blog featuring teachings and updates from the residential retreat
- The ability to download recordings of the talks and guided meditations
Video Teaching
Watch a video teaching recorded as part of last year’s Online Winter Meditation Retreat. Reggie begins this talk with a guided meditation on the back line and then discusses the experience of ambivalence on the meditative path. He recounts a story of wanting to both stay close and run away when spending time with Trungpa Rinpoche in the early 1970’s at Tail of the Tiger. Meditation, he says, allows us to stay deeply connected to our inspiration no matter what we may feel.
About the Teacher
Dr. Reginald “Reggie” Ray draws on four decades of study and intensive meditation practice within the Tibetan Buddhist tradition to address the unique problems, inspirations, and spiritual imperatives of modern people. He is the founder and Spiritual Director of the Dharma Ocean Foundation, a non-profit educational organization dedicated to the practice, study, and preservation of the teachings of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and the practice lineage he embodied.
