Dharma Ocean’s Winter Meditation Intensive offers each of us a rare opportunity. Engaging the Somatic Practice of Pure Awareness, we develop our capacity to rest in the body and receive all that is revealed. In this simple act, we find our path and our life.
Unfolding over four weeks, this program is a profound immersion in the possibilities of the Dharma Ocean lineage, in the boundless potential of our human lives. Through surrendering to a daily schedule and accepting the support of community, we find ourselves slowing down. We find ourselves beginning to feel what waits within.
The Somatic Practice of Pure Awareness - one of the simplest and most profound practices in this lineage - then holds us in a manner that allows all that waits to come forward. Through a gradual presentation of both the teachings and the practice stages of Somatic Pure Awareness, we develop our ability to welcome life without judgment or agenda.
Enhanced by the practice of walking meditation and extended periods of silence, this work allows the body to express freely. We encounter joy and grief, resistance and freedom. We touch a well of wisdom and compassion that can then be shared with this world.
Please join us for this transformative community retreat. Come for one, two, or three-week segments. Or come for the entire month.

About the Teachers
A student of Reggie’s since 1999, Neil’s teaching reflects an ongoing interest in the rich intersection of spirituality and everyday life. A partner, parent, and householder, he is curious about how deep engagement with this lineage affects our relationship with the ‘ordinary.’ Neil’s straightforward and accessible instruction encourages all of us to understand and integrate these teachings within the context of our varied and vibrant daily lives.
Norman has been studying and practicing with Reggie Ray since 2001. He is a co-founder of Open Sky Wilderness Therapy and specializes in helping families struggling with difficult challenges and life circumstances by teaching them how to stay embodied such that they may access their own inherent clarity, wisdom, and compassion. Norman’s passion lies in daily deepening his connection to the sacredness of life itself.
