Judging Others

July 10, 2014

“As long as we judge other people, we really can’t love them. This is a very hard lesson for us, because we judge everybody. Meantime, many of us feel we love other people, but we love our version of other people, and that’s not loving other people. So, we have to begin with ourselves and our own experience. We have to resist the temptation to judge ourselves. That is one reason why we meditate: because in meditation, when we start judging, we just come back to the body, over and over again.” — Reggie Ray
