“When the rug is jerked out and we fall into a space of not knowing where we are or who we are or how to manage, initially there is a lot of anxiety, a lot of fear. But over time, we start to realize that in that open, empty, unconditioned moment there are a lot of resources for us that we can’t access as long as we’re working from our prearranged plan and our expectations. We learn to wait until we see what actually the situation needs. Then an idea comes up, an inspiration of how to handle the situation.”
